Hillcrest was built in 1895. It’s the people who live here for a week, a day or a lifetime that make the house and Arran such a special place.

​We are Carina and Lara. We moved to Arran in January 2023 to turn Hillcrest into a place that people want to escape to. ​Lighting the wood burning fire, picking brambles in the garden, swimming in waterfalls, foraging, and waking up to sea views are all part of what makes life here so magical.

Carina's family made Hillcrest a home in the 70's and 80's. There was once a tearoom in the back cottage and Carina's grandpa had a jewellery workshop. By launching Hillcrest Creative, it's our ambition to reignite Hillcrest's past as a creative place.
